About
Maple Bear™
The Maple Bear Education System™
was developed for CECN Global Schools to bring a Canadian designed early
learning program for children to the world. It was created by Canadian
experts and is being constantly upgraded to ensure that the Maple Bear
Education System reflects the very best in early childhood education.
CECN Global Schools was established
by the Canadian Education Centre Network (CECN) a private non profit company
dedicated to marketing Canada as destination for international students.
In March, 2007 the CEC Network sold CECN Global Schools and the Maple Bear
Education System (TM) to a senior management group consisting of the former
President of the CEC Network, Rodney Briggs, and the Vice President of
Global Schools, Mr. Gerald Macleod.
Rodney Briggs graduated from
the University of Manitoba with a BA and MA (International Relations).
He has worked as a journalist, served for 15 years in the Canadian diplomatic
core and was President of the Canadian Education Centre Network for eleven
years. He is currently President and Chairman of the Board of CECN Global
Schoosl Ltd.
Gerald Macleod graduated from
the University of Saskatchewan (BA and BEd), from Carleton University (MA),
from the University of Manitoba (MEd - Curriculum Studies) and from the
Universite de Poitiers (advanced diploma in French Language Studies). He
has worked as a teacher and principal, lectured and trained overseas, worked
for the Manitoba Department of Advanced Education. He developed the Maple
Bear education system, has overseen the evolution of its program and has
supervised its implementation internationally. He is currently Vice President
and Vice Chairman of the Board of CECN Global Schoosl Ltd.

Maple Bear™ Vision and Mission Statements
The Maple Bear Vision is
to bring Canadian bilingual early childhood education to students around
the world.
Our Mission is to provide
a high quality Canadian bilingual early childhood education in a safe secure
and stimulating environment that will provide students with a foundation
for lifelong learning.
We are proud of Canada's track
record of excellence in education and Maple Bear was developed drawing
on the best Canada practices in early childhood teaching and learning.
We believe that nothing is more important than our children and the Maple
Bear system provides a learning environment that is child centred.
Our goal is to establish Maple
Bear Schools around the world. There are currently Maple Bear Schools operating
in Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Korea, Turkey and France. Maple Bear Schools
will be opening soon in China and Morocco.
